Till Death Us Part

Till Death Us Part

I recall the years gone by,
Married young and not yet wise.
Counting days since that July—
Thirty years, plus six, our ties.

Happy days and blissful nights
Joined the times of tears and ache.
Through it all, our love reached heights
Stronger than what hate can break.

Here we stand, as time has passed;
Closer still we have become.
Love's the glue that held us fast,
Then and now, with years to come.

Glowing deep within my heart,
Flames of love for you still burn.
Growing old till we depart,
Then to dust we'll both return.
