TIME I WAS GOING

 
Ending my life with a tear and a smile 
I'm eighty eight and I've lived a long while 
My time on this earth is now over for me 
My hearing is fading and I can hardly see 

I don't regret what I've done with my life 
Fortunate having two kids and a loving wife 
The world has changed since I was a lad 
Not for the better my friend it's constantly mad 

So with a tear on my cheek and a smile on my face 
It's time I was departing from this whole human race
