TIME PASSING BY

I sit here in thisÂ
car with window
down watchingÂ
time passing by
i look out the windowÂ
at the place going byÂ
wondering whereÂ
my place is in lifeÂ
cars would pass
by and wonder
who the peopleÂ
are where they goÂ
I watched the sunrise
sitting here in this car
and watch the sunset
the days were longÂ
the nights were shortÂ
the motels and placeÂ
to eat were nothingÂ
to write home aboutÂ
time passing by
Then you get to
where your going
and you try to find life
before it time to get backÂ
in the car agin time passing
byÂ

Wow Greg such a deep write, there is a sadness in it also. Other people's lives are like other people's meals, they always seem tastier and more interesting....are they though?? Pinned ?
Thank you Marion quite interesting that you said other peoples lives are like meals they’re more tasty than others I like that saying in this case I Wouldn’t  to say my life for a while there was tasty interesting yes
A very interesting conception of everyday life pinned Greg x
Thank you Jill may Great Friend
Aww u so welcome ❤️??
❤️❤️❤️
I love the interesting perspective you wrote this from. Time goes by and we dont even realise it being in our own busy world but here you have broken it down and given us a different angle to think about it. Like people watching only time watching here. Excellent write. Px
Thank you this poem It’s about my days of moving thank you very much for reading
I feel exactly like that when I am stuck in a traffic jam, Greg. But whether stuck in traffic or simply spending a lot of time driving, it can feel very like time is passing you by. A very thoughtful write here, Greg x
I’ve been stuck in traffic three hours standstill nowhere to go and you got to go to the bathroom there is no other worst feeling that if you got to the bathroom and you hold it in This poem is about moving from place to place no fun
Awww... No fun at all! Either situation x
Nope
Lovely poemÂ
Thank you
Greg you certainly hit the poetry nail on its proverbial head when writing this one.
Superb, honest and so vividly told and a pleasure to read, with perhaps the odd tinge of heartache woven in.
For how right you are about time passing and these days it seems so quickly,
like a mere blink and Christmas is again waiting around the corner.
Enjoyed reading your poem and your deep thoughts on time and one to reflect on.
Thank you Greg and full honours and this is also pinned for your words to reread.
A superb read to make one think.
For it seems poems about time, its passing and its affect on people are few and far between.
