Time Well Spent

Time passes so quickly as you can clearly see.

It is a precious thing to be treasured,

And not to be taken lightly.

Cherish every moment,

And be sure to guide your kid,

When they become adults,

You will be glad that you did!

For quickly a baby becomes a toddler,

A child grows to a teen.

Suddenly they fly the coop

To live out their dream.

If you haven't taken the time to lead them,

And provide them with discipline,

You've wasted a valuable resource,

Which can't be replaced again.

Leave your work at the office,

And put down your cell phone,

Children need your attention, 

While you are at home!

How quickly the hours pass any given day.

Have you taken time to kiss your kids,

Or engaged in their play?

Do you eat meals together at a table,

Or separately from a tray?

If you take time out for your children, 

They will never forget,

The time they spent with you

Was definitely time  well spent!
