'Twas the Day of Inauguration (2017)

'Twas the Day of Inauguration (2017)

'Twas the day of inauguration and near the White House,

All the politicians were stirring, including Hillary Clinton in her paint suit and blouse.

Bill Clinton had his eyes on Mr. Trump's wife,

While Obama denied this nation's strife.

He often started his speeches with "Let me be clear!"

And Hillary deleted thousands of e-mails should the Feds reappear.

All the meanwhile secret service limos doth wait,

For the ceremony that will swear in Mr. Trump to make America great!

Hillary does her best to maintain a poker face,

While deep in her heart she feels the disgrace.

How could this egotistical man beat her out of this job,

With no public service and is a chauvinist snob?

During the momentous occasion, riots break in the streets.

Protesters set fires to trash cans, and assaulted officers walking their beats.

Such an ignorant demonstration of a senseless protest!

You are left to alter bad policies and quell civil unrest.

Good luck Mr. Trump during your next 1,460 days,

Although I was never fond of your egotistic ways.

I am an American citizen and you are "The Pres",

Therefore I respect "The Office" and your position,

May God Bless America and guide your every decision!
