tiny flower

(indecision on text)

tiny flower

A:           this tiny flower,
small against the wall feels like
                the strength of the sun

B:            this tiny flower,
                yellow against the wall, is
                the strength of the sun

C:            this tiny flower,
                clinging to the wall, reflects
                on strength of the sun

Being Me

Lesser Celandine if i am not mistaken. It is, indeed, a welcome sight.  Its leaves are rich in vit C and it was given to sailors to prevent scurvy, back in the day. Its petals close just before rain. Its also known as "pilewort" since it was once used to treat haemorrhoids. Such a pretty little flower full of sunshine as your lovely poem suggests. I believe Wordsworth also wrote poems on this little flower. His poems were, The Small Celandine, To the Same Flower and To the Small Celandine. Thankyou for posting your sweet little poem, sunshine to my eyes on this damp, grey day x

Thank you, it is indeed lesser celandine. I only know it by its Dutch name "speenkruid" (teadweed). I love it for it being one of the first spring flowers to appear roundabout my birthday (March 23rd). Together with the Wood Anemone it seems fragile but is powerful. For once I was using the flower only for this seeming fragility, forgetting about the medicinal and magical properties. Alas, the Sun is starting to hide behind rainclouds now😭.

Aye, when life is a clutter, look for the things you can comprehend. Hugs are as important as a tiny flower🤗
