Tiny Stars In A Blackened Sky

Tiny Stars In A Blackened Sky

I represent an uncountable group
Tiny stars in a blackened sky
Constantly seeking the greater Light
For direction, support and intensity.
One single star stretching
To pull the others from utter darkness
Who will slip away?
And who will grasp?
Today I rise in solitude
Examining the world through the layers
And I see the fallen stars I knew
collapsed around me in suffering.
There are people who only want darkness
to cover the skies without my presence
And who have spread this lust for gloom
In front of every peeking eye
If only I could do away with shadows
I would illuminate every dark dwelling
Always to be brightened by the Light
To open the eyes that need to witness
I represent an uncountable group.
Though alone my light shines
And extends to reach new places
Until nothing but stars light-up the sky.

This is good. Spiritual, metaphysical...sad but inspiring. Great job.
