The Tiring Truth of Tiredness

Get into bed ready to sleep early
But a few distractions later and it's already past three
Near exhaustion and extremely tired
But that doesn't matter as soon as night hits

Everything that's been shut down during the day
Seems to magically come out and play
Do they get invited by the shimmering stars
This has honestly gone too far

Being awake  really becomes a pest
When your body really needs the rest
Tomorrow receives another zombie
Trying to get by slowly

Dragging dead weight
On unwilling feet
Trying to navigate
With eyes made of concrete

And just as i land on my bed
It starts all over again
