Tit For Tat

Do you really want to start,
Your sharp words thrown cut me apart,
This is how im going to react,
Sending my troupe of hurtful words to attack,
Trading this for that,
We go tit for tat.
Which cage first will rattle,
Engaging in furious battle,
What's the use,
Two sides can't come to truce,
They'd rather scrap,
Giving it back tit for tat.
Pretty soon we will both wake up,
I intend to surrender to the make up,
Will you lay down your weapons of nag,
If I let the guard down and raise the white flag,
I know peace isn't given in a snap,
Apologies help us forget about the tit for tat.
This helps in the continued fight to keep us strong,
The suit of armor stays close cause it won't be long,
When were at it again firing at each other's moms,
Throwing word daggers that turn into mind bombs,
No way of holding true to the pact,
Giving in to the tit for tat.

Thanks C i thought so too me and wife don't argue as much as she overratedly puts it but when we do its like all hell has broke loose thus the metaphors and imagery as if these to couples are soldiers of war doing battle but i think without arguments how are couples suppose to learn compromise to coexist with one another. Always appreciative of your comment C.
