To Cherie and her love Matthew

The year 2019-2020 has brought so many heartbreaks to so many people. And this sonnet is my prayer for the Cosmo poetess friend Cherie and her love Matthew who is suffering from the malicious virus. (1)
May God let Matthew a speedy recovery!
May God grant them, the love birds, to sing peace and happiness!

Dear Cherie, your Matthew's in our prayers, very firmly
though I don't know him but trust your words he is a decent guy
Our feelings are strong when we're alone
I wrote "wish you were here", and think your love would like to hear (2)
Matthew's now on "A Lonely Journey", and hope you accept my empathy
Life is on the road of suffering till we find our way
In God we believe, and only in God we trust
God is Mighty, God is the Plough, and God is Light
Here comes Christmas, and many work through their sorrows
God sent his son Jesus to save the humanity of sins
The free world needs to wake up to see what's up
The malicious virus is only a symptom not the reason
So long as the communist fascism is still at large
The mankind will suffer, and the God's work won't finish
