To my Dad

A poem from me to my wonderful dad 

The man in my life the one I love the most

Hes always been there for me he is my world 

He will never understand he will never know 

How his harsh words kill me so

See he is the most wonderful man that I know 

This life that he lives is not what he planned

Yet it was for me he gave it all up 

To stand by my side and to hold my hand

The hatred he feels towards me now 

Kills me inside I just wanted him to be proud 

Along the way I have often let him down 

I have this feeling now I am just his dark cloud 

So this is from my heart from me to you 

You need to know that I love you so much

You have always been there for me 

You have always been my crutch

I wish I could have been all you wanted me to be

Im so sorry dad that I let you down 

I tried my best for you I really did 

But all I manged to do was make you frown

Your life has been filled with hatred and pain

I just wished I could have made it worth while

I wanted to be that daughter you see 

The one that you think about with a massive smile 

Im sorry dad for letting you down 

But you must know this dad youre my number one

Look on the bright side hey 

At least you got something good you got your son xx
