Poem -

To my mother, I write

Detailed information on what calls can't cover

To my mother, I write

Pray for me!
Mama, please pray for me!
I have gotten chapters to read out loud,
But life inserted errors and it reduced my volume.

Mama!
I am at a point where everything stands in-between—
Where connection and disconnection compete:
As some are falling apart, some are falling together.
Please pray for me!

I want to grow alone, but pain grows with me.
I want to travel during the day, but the night is very long.
I want to be with me, but circumstances are messing with me.

Please, pray for me, mama!
I want everything to connect.
I want to connect with my cave:
Where I will feel safe.
Where I will feel at peace.
Where I can feel the moon.
Where I can hear my breath.

I want to live where the stars live;
Where the stars and the moon commune:
Maybe to stitch up my wounded heart,
Or to pick up the fragments of myself.
Please, just pray for me!
