Today was a Good Day

Today was a Good Day

it was a
warm towel
white sheets
sun streaming through the cracks of the window
it was on a Sunday morning feeling

I couldn't shake it
I didn't wanted to
you said you loved me
I said I appreciate you
you said its a Netflix day
I didn't argue

we stayed in bed
not even watching the screen
the towels, pillows and sheets
were all over the floor
waking up dripping of emotions and hearts racing
you whispered in my ear
" Today was a Good Day, lets do it again"

It's those little quotidian details which are the building blocks of a day; any day...memorable and unmemorable alike: that you capture here simply and beautifully.
And yet, there's still an edge here which makes the whole thing ever so slightly uncomfortable; a hesitation...a holding back.

Wonderfully rendered and crystallised.
Lovely!
