Today's Point of View

Today's Point of View

We use to wake up really early in the morning,
and brew a pot of coffe to hear the minuet timer warning.
But now a days we sleep in til' noon,
and always know what technology is coming out soon.
I bet there was a day, when children went outside to play,
and not every moment of life was shared, there was no internet and no one cared.
I am sad to say this world has changed, in the way our brains have re-arranged.
It was safer to roam the streets, and you knew everyone that you would meet.
I wonder what caused these unfortunate ways when kids no longer go outside to play.
Now they only work their thumbs, playing angrybirds on their touchscreen phones.
There is more to life than their virtual games.
I want to know whe we went through this change.
Was it when we sent the man to the moon?
Perhaps it was just too soon, but scientist also did their part
to launch us into this technological start.
I know that technology is of great use,
but we take it for granted and really abuse
all of these advantages we have,
but back in the day they weren't around.
No we aren't old! Your technological thinking is new,
but I guess thats just todays point of view.
