Tommy's gun...

Tommy's gun...

The romance was there to be seen by all enemies
The relationship between them always seemed so friendly
The massacre enraged from them was bloody deadly
The times they lived in was barbaric and senseless

This was tommy's gun
He cleaned it just for fun
Never used in daylight sun
This was his Tommy gun!

He was a gruesome man with a guilty pleasure at night
He never gave any solace to the innocent that died
He breathed fear and hatred among the streets
He was a sick man who craved the crime elite

He whispered sweet nothing's to any woman he met
He always took his lover to everywhere he slept
He was a ferocious vulture in the gangster ridden culture
He rode the scene like an unhinged Frank Sinatra

This was tommy's gun
He cleaned it just for fun
Never used in daylight sun
This was his Tommy gun!

Eventually his romance was bestowed with blood roses
Eventually his Chicago piano was broken and corroded
For the death of this relationship was very much needed
For the people of Chicago city believed in dreamers
Not Trench Sweeper's
But real dreamers....
