CANDLES ~

CANDLES ~

the stillness makes me crumble
a candle flickers with my breath
your eyes look to a distance

so beautiful in death

the shadows loom to swallow me
I hear the echos of a heart
my soul a misty camera
an image real, so so stark

your loveliness illuminates
so beautiful ~  so fair ~
too beautiful
too beautiful
A beauty without air

now stillness sings it's whispers
candles snuff out in my breath
your beauty lost forever

your beauty lost to death

too beautiful
so beautiful
too beautiful
in death ~

My Dear Lady Marion,

Such a powerful write, coping with ones expiration.
It reminds me of a line that Elton John coined.
"Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did".

All my love,
