Too Late to Know"

Too Late to Know"

In shock I couldn't care
that you weren't there
As sometimes so cruel
and it just wasn't fair
Said for my own good
to be a right person should
listen to experienced words
but in my ears seemed absurd
Though now time's a pastĀ
and such a long shadow you have cast
Suddenly I start to see
you only wanted the best for me
On that last day I wished you dead
now so many words left unsaid
Love is shown in many ways
I'll make you proud in future days
I wish I could shout it loud
scream it to the farthest cloud
I said I didn't love you, I lied
with all my heart Ā I wish you hadn't died
and was still here by my side
A know it all teenager full of hate
now I really know but it's too late

Sorry Dad x

Wow! Not what I expected when I said write about love and death, but this is amazing. I love how you thought outside the box for this. Amazing!
