TOOK YOU INSTEAD

TOOK YOU INSTEAD

I should’ve died but it wasn’t my time.
I could’ve died but he spared my life.
No I am not lucky but worthy and blessed.
Yes! I am thankful to stand on this earth.
Should’ve! could’ve! would’ve! Been me.
But he took you instead, I miss you every day my twin.
                     What?   Why?    Who?
Are questions I’ve asked repeatedly but who am I to question faith, hope and destiny.
A path we all have a role to play.
I am only human but aren’t we all?
Missing you bro.
Only time will tell.
