I do not wonder   do not care
I'm just watching
Watching idle     
paintbrush in hand
waiting

for inspiration as if
I might do something today
Afterall

canvases stacked    waiting
I see that you
Are top of the pile    Always
My perfect joy

30 plus years ago
when we were both amatuers

artwork unfinished
and we shall always be this

Strikes me
Saddens me

that we may not have
30 plus years
to start another
