Never forget...

TOUCH

I still feel every touch,
Every kiss burned Into the nerves of my lips,
Every line you absentmindedly traced on my skin etched into my nervous system like an artists rendition of every encounter we had,
I still feel every bruise ever left from the nights when we would get carried away,
I still hear every compliment you ever spoke as if whispered into my ear on replay each and every day,
I still hear every cruel word spoken when we argued and every “I’m sorry” you ever begrudgingly gave afterwards,
I can still feel your hand in mine as if my fingers refuse to let you go because my heart feels the same,
I still smell the cologne you wore for special occasions and dates we had like it’s burned into my senses ,
It’s almost as if my body refuses to allow me to forget these things so that my heart doesn’t forget what we had...
