Trade Shoes

There are those who wake each morning-
and the sun, they cannot see.......
Those who know not the rich sound of children laughing-
for they cannot hear like you and me.

Hands to crippled by arthritis-
to ever pick a flower.
Those who will never walk again-
who are confined to bed hour after hour.

Have you ever passed a stranger-
walking, struggling with a heavy load?
They can't afford the luxury of a car-
So they walk up and down the road.

Children who do not have loving parents-
Many people are out of a job.
Women who have been abused-
People who suffer over those that rob.

Yes, there are many who would love to walk-
In your lighter burdened shoes!
This thought, we would do well to remember-
Whenever we chance to get the blues!

Just so we don't get too worldly-
or feel to down on ourselves when we lose.......
It could be our most valued experience-
To stop awhile and just trade shoes!
