TRAFFIC JAM

With eyes aglow transfixed by her beautyÂ
He forgot that he was behind the wheelÂ
In a traffic jam on highway seventeenÂ
Horns honking to move an inch
But he is tranquillized by loves sting
Her sixty five mustang with top downÂ
Exposed pearl white seatsÂ
Enhanced by cherry red interiorÂ
Her slender arms caressing the smoothnessÂ
Of the black steering wheelÂ
Of this vintage beautyÂ
A gentle breeze disturbs her hairÂ
Painting the headrest with strokes of gold
Sunglasses though fashionedÂ
Steals the softness of her eyesÂ
But her smile captures his soulÂ
Tilting her head to the sideÂ
With her fingers open wide
In an upward motionÂ
they were lost for a momentÂ
In the golden glory of her silky hairÂ
An accident accrued on highway seventeenÂ
When beauty and love collided in a traffic jamÂ
In the middle of a dream.
