Poem -

train of hope derailed.

Will the river flow
Around his feet

To ease the burden
upon them

If he walked
the miles to greet

Shall the sand
feel like cotton

Soft upon cuts
So deep

If he walked
The miles to greet

Will the wind
Sing him a gentle song

Banishing his worries
Of all that went wrong

He traveled the miles
Walking for so long

Shall the sun
Dry up all his tears

Lost along a track
Walking alone for years

Within his mind
The miles unkind

His pieces of heart
Combined

Walking forever in love
So blind

A lonely track no end
Nor binding trail

Just the memories
In which he always failed

Somewhere along the road
Beneath his trust

The train of hope
Derailed

Will the river flow
Around his feet

To ease the burden
upon them

If he walked
The miles to greet

Shall the sand
feel like cotton

Soft upon cuts
So deep

Shall he heal in heart
Escaping the secrets he keeps

Shall the sun
Dry all the tears he weeps

Only time can heal
This aching that he feels

Walking the miles
Upon the never ending track

Way to much heartache
Looking back.

Great write Nardine I sometimes think my train will derail but somehow i manage to keep it on the track and stay on course. Very nicely done well worth the read and five stars.
