Train of Marbles

I try not to stare when you float down the aisle.
Honest, I really do.
But it's as if the lines of my sight get snagged on some
Edge of your aura.
Pulling my eyes helplessly
In your direction.

Finding myself asking you things I already
Know the responses to.
But I've never heard them wrapped in that sweet satin like
How it sounds from you.
Cool and smooth and swirling all
Around my senses.

The butterflies in my stomach make me want to
Stand on my tippy-toes.
Is it strange to enjoy the way that someone sneezes?
If I didn't walk
Away I think that I might
Just forget to breathe.

I wish for the moonlight to become our dance floor.
And the stars a band
Playing cool hot beats for just the two of us.
As we unravel the
Mysteries of the past and
Our now future...

You make me lose my train of marbles.
