Sunny Thoughts

What if the moon decided not to rise up?
But let the sun smile
Brightly,
Steadily,
On the Earth.

Would the waves of the ocean lose their rhythm?
And crash haphazard
On the shores they
So meticulously
Created.

What would become of our marvelous forests?
Sky-scraping trees,
Centuries old,
Reduced to fire and
Ash.

Who will be left to piece nature back together?
As mankind pops and sizzles,
Like ants under the
Magnifying glass of
Fate.
