TRAINERS ON A TELEGRAPH WIRE

I walked past a house and started to stare
I wondered how a pair of trainers ended up there
High above the ground on a telegraph wire
The trainers were ledged they could not be higher

Expensive trainers too they were tied up nice and neat
It will be a while before they see some feet
Trainers on a telegraph wire don't just appear
Was it done for a bet and did people cheer ?

Curiosity killed the cat I really want to know
