You say the color of my skin is too tan or too pale for you.
You say that the texture of my hair is too smooth or too rough for you.
When I present myself to you, I am never to you as I should be;
Transform me then!
You told me that the way my body curves or flattens aches you,
My wide or narrow eyes disgust you.
When I present myself to you, I am never to you as I should be;
Transform me then!
You mock my husky or high pitched voice, saying that I should be the other.
My thin or thick body nauseates you.
When I present myself to you, I am never to you as I should be;
Transform me then!
My defined or hasty walk embarrasses you.
You told me my smile or frown is worth a penny.
When I present myself to you, I am never to you as I should be;
So, transform me then!
I forgot to love myself for all my imperfections and perfections.
You made me forget that I am beauty itself and that I cannot be replaced.
When I present myself to you, I will never be to you as I should be;
So, I will leave you then…
