TRANSLUCENCY
Awaken the third eye
Man's vestigial light organ
And the universe will tell you her secrets
Occasionally
The world will test the bravest
For there is true bravery
In growing old
And an innocence
In the boldest and most magical
Of generations passing
The blink of God's eye
The privilege
Is in being alive itself
Recognizing the horizon's view
Looped
In translucent circles
And connecting the me and you
Of all existence
To the inert
As well as the volcanic
Where the soul looks steadily forward
Creating worlds
Leaving others behind
No dates nor persons
No rituals or special standing
The spirit
Recognizing the light
That exists
Between us all
Awaken,
The universe is calling
I remove my topcoat
And gently place it
Across your body
Of ever-evolving
Stars....

One of my favorite reads of the year so far! Brilliantly composed and so true.....my favorite part...."The spirit recognizing the light that exists between us all." We are all connected and one....I wish more people realized that and would stop the hatred, but that's another story. Please check out my latest poem "7 misguided bullets."
