Poem -

translucent

translucent

see her,
see, with the big nose,
isn't she ugly
ears like bats wings..
wrinkly..
she doesn't fit
with pretty like me
I laugh at you
in my insecurity
in my ignorancy..
see her,
in all sweet honesty..
dainty in her size is she
she is gentle to a tee
moves with efficiency and
precision in motion
and in her eye
her soul searches for acceptance
as by no choice of hers
she was born an elephant
