Poem -

TRAPPED IN THIS CITY

Pale and grim resigned to this grey city
The streets are uneven, dirty and gritty
My time spent here is only for show
I want to leave but have nowhere to go

I must rise now and face another day
Wonder what obstacles will get in my way
Autopilot best describes the mood of me
In this city I will never feel at home and free

Another day done just the same like before
This city is affecting me I know that for sure
Must get out of here by fair means or foul
Time I admit dear friend to throw in the towel
