Trapped in the past !!

two years on
yet im still broken
trapped in the life i never wanted
this life you've made me grasp
with out a choice !
i could have been different
held in your arms
now im this
and my blood runs cold
the thickened darkness that is my mind
plagues me at night
casting regret filled dreams in to my sleep
haunting me with the memory that was once your kiss
now forever lost in times gone by.
demanding i must fix myself
without your heart to hold
no longer can i be
trapped in the past
if i expect my life to progress
but how do i forget you
how do i let you go
when my every thought is of
you, us , your touch, our time
and then !
nothing but the emptiness left behind.
