Traverse

When you come to that wall,
Will you just turn around,
Or look for a door,
Maybe another way to get by.
The way through,
Is up and over.
And you'll eventually succumb,
To the idea of climbing.
Once over the wall my friend,
It all begins to never end.
So brace yourself,
When you come to the foothills,
Of an enormous mountain,
You have to climb over.
I hope the walls you've climbed,
Have made you strong,
Cause up the side of a steep incline,
The footholds must remain true.
Head up and all together,
Or lose the faith the touch and fall forever.
Enjoy the triumphant feelings,
Standing upon the mountaintop,
For no longer than a moment,
You descend into the valley.
Faced yet again,
The head looking up,
At another mountain obstacle,
This goes on for what we hope is a lifetime
Climbing no more we answer the call,
Closing eyes in preparation of impacting the wall.
