Tree of wisdom

Tree of wisdom tell us why
the golden leaves do fall
your boughs that creak with sighing winds
and your trunk so weatherworn 
not a sound does make
though your wisdom shows
in the form of an arbor tree
witholding knowledge of elder times and the days in memory
the twisted roots that lie beyond
tell a story of their own
buried deep below our world from a seed that once was down
