Poem -

Trial by fire

I once had a friendĀ
One that had a pureĀ
SoulĀ
No matter how muchĀ
You tested him heĀ
Would not move his faithĀ

I had the privilege to meet him
And become his friend we becameĀ
Closer and closerĀ
We told each other every thing

But one night it all changedĀ
I was asleep
When I was toldĀ
To get readyĀ
And I did
Ā just to Find his house on fireĀ
I screamed his name over and overĀ
Ready to run into the fire to save himĀ
But my father stoped me saying it was too lateĀ
He is gone so every night I cryed myself to sleepĀ
Hopeing that god would take meĀ
In his placeĀ
To let him live againĀ
Ā But god would not do me this favorĀ

As the day came I walked into the house and I feltĀ
Death everywhere and I seen what I hope was a bad dreamĀ
But It was my turn and I I walked up to that black coffenĀ
It was closed so I could not seeĀ
His face once moreĀ
But I screamed to himĀ
Please come back why did u have to go
My father took me out of the house of deathĀ
Tears running down my face the whole timeĀ
Feeling like a piece of me was riped out foreverĀ
I guess it was my trial by fire
