Tribute To The Lizard King

Tribute To The Lizard King

I was justย
a baby
when you
broke on through to
the other side
and though
your prognostic
verse
in this is "The End"
ultimately
became
true withย
your demise,
The impactย
you bestowed
upon Poets
will never
soon beย
forgotten.

Rest In Peace
My brother
the formatย
and imagery
you presented
has had anย
extreme
influence
on this
writer
May yourย  Ancestors
continue
to embrace
your
Presence.........................

Dude!!... that's such a trip that you and Sid posted those poems side-by-side!!!......I sang/performed on the stage where Morrison used to sing backwards.... he was too afraid to face the audience when he started performing at 'The Whiskey-A-Go-Go'....or 'The Whiskey' as they refer to it nowadays!!.... I'm a big fan of his poetry too!!!... so interesting that youย chose to write onย two of my favorite musician/writers in a row!!..... you did a great job with this tribute piece man!!..... seems we have much in common!!.....Fistful-O-Stars!!.....Lร”VE and ROCKETS!!......T xo ?โœณโœดโ™ฅโ˜€?โ™ฅ???

You will get a trip out of this.ย  Years ago I was a Finance Manager for South Bay BMW and a customer who had stragley hair was waiting on me to do his paperwork in the lounge.ย  I went to get him and his phone went off with the ringtone of " Break On Through"ย  I made a comment "you must be a Jim Morrison fan! I love jim!"ย  THe customer stated that he was actually the Manager of the doors.ย  They still had a manger!ย  I did hid paper work and he liked me so much he gave me backroom entry to meet the remainder members of the Doors at the "Whiskey Go Go Club".ย  They were celebrating their 40th aniversary when they sang there. It was a blast!ย  I was able to meet them!
Thanks Tony!

Yeah I met them.ย  It was awesome.ย  Manzarek died just a few years later which was sad!ย  I believe it was in 2007 that I met them.

Hello Greg...

Great Tribute!

So often Great Artists always seem to know if just in the irony itself, they Paint of Death of they Sing about it and then we hear of their passing...

That's always been Bazaar to me...

I really began seeing we can speak words of Life or we can speak of Death...

Great write my friend!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...
