Poem -

Trouble and Strife

We were put on this earth to grow and thrive,

Not to now cower and hide,

Go forth and multiply, we were told,

Go forth and be bold.

We have made our way inĀ life,

Through all our troubles and strife,Ā

And all we ask for is peace and life,

Without the threat of guns and knives.

Then why is it so hard to co-exist,

When all we have to do is show passion and persist,

Everyone deserves to be happy and safe,

Even if we all have different faiths.

So why can't we live the ideal life,

And live without all the trouble and strife.

I woke this morning with this poem running through my head. Although I wrote it down in raw form, IĀ have tried to make it a poem. I hope I have done it justice. It is my first poem.Ā
