Troubled Times, Troubled Mind
As I stare bleakly at an ever dimming sky, strange thoughts arise from the darkest depths of my mind
When the last star fades will we be here to see?
Or will the grief of darkness blind us with bitter displease?
Imagine if one mistake defined us
But it was bigger then you and me?
Imagine if our ancestors met us;
Do you think we'd disagree?
We're evolving in spirit but divorcing our nature
We've broke our promises
And signed it on paper
Now that social media controls the minds of the youth
Do you still think that we make our own choices?
Or does Facebook deliberately fill our heads with images of a greater purpose?
All these pop stars and actors,
The rich
White washed through constant minute, mind numbing pricks
That slowly,
over time,
Start to sink in
Because every shop you enter plays the same song on repeat
Yet do you not see?
This culture is more fucked up then it's ever been.
I feel like a slave
For I have no freedom
I feel like my friend,
We've lost all wisdom
It's like we're living too fast and oblivious to our own existence
And it seems to be gods hand that pulls the strings
Of this fucked up system
