Tuesday

Tuesday must be saved
from neglect, from monotony and
from the chaos of our worries
it may not be a fraction
a corner or a bridge
but it is a second day and
it can be a second chance
it does not deserve to be abandoned
neither by eagerness nor laziness
to the triviality of the impermutable
 
whether it's a sunny day
rainy or a cloudy day
it must be allowed to shine
with its own glow 
as Tuesday's reality
begs for a little magic
some exceptionality
a fragment of a song
an excerpt from a book
a half-told tale
with no beginning and no end
 
something we could use
if we ever ran out
of things to say and
could not speak
even with our eyes, hands
arms or bare chests
but having still love and time
we could start all anew
 
then
we will have rescued something
from the habit and routine
of reinventing Tuesday
sowing it with sprouts
of magical realism
