Tug of war

They pulling they pushing
You just the tie up in the middle
Listening to what everyone else says
But their words are decidable 
It’s like listening to a poor man telling you how to get rich
It’s like eating off a plate where someone else shits!
You know what to do and what you really need
But your a coward who won’t stick up for yourself so you fail at trying to succeed 
Your comfortable with someone else controlling your life
That’s why when you look left
You ask someone else should I have gone right
Respect is earned not given
And you will never get that
That’s why they play tug of war
And your life is a mess
If you stand tall and firm on what you believe and love because you knowww it’s true
They may not agree but they damn sure will listen to you!
If you stand tall and firm behind closed doors and let someone believe they’re right
You’ll be fighting your own demons alllllll your life
You don’t know the fire is hot til you touch it
So you gotta let that person get burned 
So let me fail if you think that’s what I’ll honestly do
But if I know for sure I won’t
I’ll bet a million dollars just to prove to you

You can only be mad that I told you I was right
And went against what you believed
