TURNING INTO AUTUMN

Autumn around the corner summer is going
The first flowers of the new season are now showing  
Nights will start drawing in earlier very soon 
As we long once more for the warmth of June 

It's true what they say time goes by so fast 
Summer sunny days unfortunately don't last
I like to see the seasons come and go 
Winter follows Autumn with the threat of snow 

Three quarters into the year of 2019 will soon be here 
Embrace it my friend and don't shed a tear  
Leaves will fall in Autumn and turn reddish brown 
Not just in my city but in every town
