DICK TURPIN (AND OUR WORLD TODAY)

Dick Turpin wore a mask many years ago
If I travel by bus mine also has to be on show
Dick stole riches along the King's highway
We are all thinking of ourselves in the world today

Isn't it funny how history can repeat itself ?
Also in Dick's day people were not in good health
Dick died a young man he was only thirty three
We live longer today but are we all free ?

I wonder if Dick really rode his horse Black Bess
Did he ride from London to York is anybody's guess
A man of mystery certainly was our man Dick
Coming back to our world today I'm sure he'd be sick
