Twas’ a freezing, festive winter’s night ❄️

Betwixt the bleakness of failing light
Snow fell down dense and white
Looking clean, crisp and bright
Twas’ such a freezing, festive sight..
~
As I lay fast asleep
Drifting piles lay in a heap
Hiding all the hardy sheep
As dawn awoke with birdsong cheep...
~
Oh meloncholy is the moor
Amidst yon obliqueness of obscure
That haziness of hidden demure
An ambience so perfect and pure....

Marvellous! Loved it a pure joy to read Jill from beginning to end.
I love to read about the seasons and your poem has made my day.
There's an enchantment woven in how you've written this and its all good.
Pinned and pinned again!
There's a sense of wonder childlike hypnotic wonder with snow I find.
Thank you Jill for sharing and I wrote one called Snow for my daughter and I'll try and put it up later.
Take care and stay warm with the electric blankie and the old reliable hot water bottle.
