Twenty Tears

The rose was born
Then grows a thorn
Each time a tear has fallen
A mirror cracked
Shows two tears back
Lain shattered by my feet
The eyes don't lie
Behind disguise
Three tears well up inside
And through it all
Four tears will fall
I counted them and thought

Even when I'm cut
And hurt by the thorn
I'll try to hang on
I stand in the shards
The pieces I'll take
A window I'll make
Sadness on your face
Don't need to know why
Your tears I will dry

Time to conclude
Just one final thought
Ten tears have fallen
Ten tears were caugh
