Shall I gather your

fruits of painful love ?

• To bring them in
• a flower baskets into
• your courtyard,
• Though some are lost
• and some are not ripe,
• For the season grows
•  heavy with its bountifulness,

Shall I gather your

fruits of painful love ?

• I shall set sail on the blue river,
• My March wind is anxious,
•  Freezing the leisurely
• waves into whispers of love,

Shall I gather your

fruits of painful love ?

• Your garden has yielded it all,
• And in the weary hour of
• Evening the call comes
•  from your hut on the shores
• in this twilight moods of love
