Two Homes

Two Homes

I have two homes two happy homes,
By God my Father given.
One home is here on earth,
My other home is heaven.

I think upon my earthly abode,
And sweet emotions arise.
Yet still my soul longs to reach,
My home above the skies.

The glories of my house above,
No tongue nor pen can tell.
For none, save spirits sanctified,
In that bright world may dwell.

Max many thanks my friend for your kind words and are always warmly welcomed.
Just been running out of time to spend quality time on here and hit and running, for I'm back in work and tomorrow but have Tuesday off to catch up on your latest and other members too (and I'd better whisper to you about reply comments! Yikes! For I'm the late reply master and surely up for some Cosmo award featuring a ducking stool and thumbscrews).
So tomorrow night and Tuesday I'll push the poetry boat out for one and all.
And just a quick heads up Max there are two poem/stories you might like, think of Tom Clancy and Matthew Reilly combined. and I'll personal message you before doing so, one on Atlantis which I've written two versions of, one with a happy upbeat ending and one with a  not so happy ending.
The other one is called Area 52 to tie into and bridge the Archangel Trilogy and it's Armageddon third part.
Max I hope you are well too and it's hard to be active when the sun's out and the temperature rises it's too damned hot to think let alone walk about in.
Hang in there Max and I'll see you soon on the poetic flipside.

The Beauty and the Power of FAITH!!......PINNED for perfection!!.....well conceived and BEAUTIFULLY delivered!!......why is it that you seem to always post on days I am not here....It's like 'psychic missing' (smiles).....If I hadn't wandered back onto this page I would never have seen this!!.....So glad I did!!.......I am your cyber-friend and admirer!!.......T xo  :  )

Tony thank you so much kind sir for your uplifting and more than positive comments, you are a good man with a good heart.
And time is the reason or bad timing for that matter is like never the twain shall meet, for I'm back in work at the museum and 24 hours in a day is never enough time for me and quickly evaporates.
And truth be told if I had to choose for my life hanging in the balance between giving up St Fagan's National Museum of History or poetry .....
Then my life wouldn't be worth living for making any choice between them in the first place!!
My job can be as easy or hard as one can make it, just like writing poetry, it's demanding but the end satisfaction is more than worth it and great comments from you Tony and others help me.
Help me so much, to realise how fortunate I am to be among poetic friends who care and support each other.
I can be flat as a proverbial pancake after work, then read a poem from you or anyone on here and feel ten feet tall with my head held high. Totally reinvigorated and raring to go and write.
That's the power of good poets and their poetry.
Thanks again my poetry brother and have tomorrow off work to have a good poetry delve into your latest poems and other members too.

this is oh' so good .. made me feel like I was back in my happy place @ Gullworthy Cottage in Devon (my maternal grandparents old home) and in particular, your words reminded me of the words woven into a tapestry they had and used as a fireguard to hide the open grate in summer .. I wish I knew where that old family heirloom is today .. N
