TWO MONTHS AGO TODAY

"You do know I love you" were the last words he spoke
My dad was just an ordinary working class bloke
He worked very hard throughout his life 
Always provided well for his kids and wife

Dad was taken away from us exactly two months today
A hole in my heart that won't go away
Though we never always saw eye to eye 
I didn't want my dad to pass away and die

Life doesn't go on forever like other things do
It makes life so very precious that much is true
Should my dad be looking down on me from heaven above
I will give him a wink and send him my love
