Two Sundays With Nico
When I think back about your lovely life, there are two Sundays come to mind;
The first, the happiest there ever was, the second, the saddest one could find!
The former happened when you were quite young, six months til you would turn two;
We decided you needed a little brother, and we were going to get one for you!
Iβll never forget that beautiful day, the Sunday we bought your Bro;
You loved each other the moment you met, where one was, the other had go!
Heβd been born to your Mother, just twelve weeks before, for twelve years you shared your souls;
Inseparable Brothers, buddies for life, the sum of βyouβ kept you both whole!
The second of Sundays that Iβll never forget, is the saddest that Iβve ever known;
It turned out to be the last full day of your life, for Monday you made Heaven your home!
We knew you were sick, and not quite yourself, but you still walked and slept a whole lot;
And we knew the next morning youβd be at your vet, to give you an all healing shot!
We rubbed your back and kissed your head, youβd wake up and then sleep some more;
We gave you some food, but your tummy was sick, most landing back on the floor!
The miracle we prayed for, on the following day, would never come to pass;
That saddest of Sundays will haunt us forever, for it turned out to be your last!
Today marks exactly Twenty-One months since we lost our precious Angel Nico on 2-16-15

This is a lovely piece my Larry, it had me in tears because I know how much you are both missing him. Give Cody a big hug for me and tell him auntie G is thinking of him. You are all in my prayers.
I love you all
G xx
