Wow sublime abstract poetry for me here. Great in brevity. Could you explain it or maybe u don't want to. Kudos.
im quite a newbie here, but have been writing and interacting with poets for what seems ages. Pleez do write your thoughts/review/comment under my newest poem too.
Thank u for stopping by and giving yourinput ?much appreciated
my intent behind this one was to illustrate in limited wrds( as per contest guidelines) the unexplainable pain of a surrogate mom after she delivers a baby she can never own.
nurturing cords refers to umbilical cord via which the baby gets nourishment
Because this mum’s ( but not mum) higher self does not seem to accept this fact , ( as our higher self never deceives or lies) ,,the hidden pain of this disconnection from d bebe leads to gloomy tears from the eyes of the surrogate mum.
the black in the image i hv related to the gloominess n pain
the white i hv related to motherhood
the mask related to silence N hidden emotions
the title Umbilical tears was inspired by the hanging rope like thingy from d eyes of the figure in image which can b related to umbilica ?

Dear Charu,
You have created a masterpiece. You do not need to read other's poetry to learn. You already are a gifted genius.
The tears of the carrier
With the gift that she brings
