Poem -

unchained and skyward free

a bird, a cage, a pet shop,
and a me
some eyes and some connections
to a bird
that is not free

a beauty large, too small a cage
a kind word passed between
a sadness far too huge to feel
white feathers droop again

this life
with humans
too covetous to see

an image of his brilliant white
unchained and skyward free

Being Me

It reads like it has everything to do with a bird. An actual bird. But is it? I feel there is so much more here. Perhaps it is a soul x

It's about an actual bird love...but birds have souls too so you are right...this bird was/is real imprisoned and sad...oh how I love us humans 😑🤨😒 xx
