Under the moon

I saw her near the river
Swimming in the lake
I saw her sniffing flowers
Smiling with such grace
I found myself searching
Looking for her face
I found myself lonely
For she could never be replaced
One day she was back
Sitting under the moon
But her smile had already faded
It had gone away so soon
I asked why she was crying
She told me that life is cruel
That it treated her like a fool
I wrapped my arms around her
In a tight hug
Please dont let them bug you
Just wash them all away
For i will always be here
And here i will always stay
So can you please smile
And keep those tears at bay
And under the moon we shall lay
Until sleep takes us away
